The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to issue a solicitation to procure laboratory drug testing services. The laboratory shall be responsible for the screening and analysis of urine samples for the presence of various illegal drugs. The laboratory must meet rigorous testing, personnel and security standards, and also must follow strict chain of custody procedures, provide expert testimony, and be subject to regular inspections. The laboratory must be certified, by proposal due date, by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under its National Laboratory Certification Program. The anticipated contract will be for a base year of 12 months, and will include 4 options which could extend the performance of the contract for a total of 60 months.
