offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The SIC code
is 7629, ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC REPAIR SHOPS. Eligibility to
participate may be restricted to firms in either the developmental or
transitional stage. The contractor shall provide all services,
management, administration, personnel, equipment, materials, supplies
and transportation, except as specified as Government Furnished
Property and Services. The contractor shall perform preventive and
corrective maintenance and overhaul of electronic equipment; equipment
inventory and parts inventory control, including ordering, receiving,
distribution and maintenance of supply levels; test equipment pick up
and delivery service; remote grounds and facility maintenance service;
Special requirements which include various types of electronic support
or services not included in other contract requirements. They will be
ordered separately, as needed; Contractor Engineered Work Orders as
authorized by the Contracting Officer. Provide management expertise and
technicians skilled in electronic maintenance at the organizational,
intermediate and depot levels. Electronics maintenance is required at
shore units, afloat units, remote sites and in motor vehicles within
the Thirteenth Coast District which includes the states of Idaho,
Montana, Oregon and Washington. The Coast Guard will provide
electronics shops in Seattle and Port Angeles, WA; North Bend, Yaquina
Bay, Astoria and Portland, OR. The services are required to be
performed at exposed, elevated locations; on cutters and boats; on
structures, poles, and towers (some in excess of 100') on land and in
the marine environment and in the vicinity of operating helicopters.
The performance period of the Base Year is 1 October 1996 to 30
September 1997 with four (4) option years. The solicitation will be
issued on or about 15 February 1996. All interested 8(a) firms are
encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as
possible. The solicitation will be issued without further notice. When
requesting solicitation package be prepared to state name, street
address, telephone and FAX numbers and solicitation number. All
eligible firms may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
