The Government intends to procure the following PESA System brand products from authorized distributor, ESP Inc.: Cougar 32x32 RGB, P/N: CGR32/RGB, qty 1; Cougar 32x16 Video, P/N: CGR16/V, qty 3; WIN3300 Dual Controller, P/N: 3300D, qty 1; MultiLevel Direct Take Panel, P/N: RCP-MLDT, qty 5; Translation Box PRC to Sys5, P/N: PRC-SYS5, qty 1. The government customer requests PESA brand products because they are compatible with the customer's existing PESA-based RMCC video systems. PESA is the only manufacturer who provides parts that support the customer's RMCC system. Purchasing the above Cougar RGB switches and associated items from other manufacturers would require the redesign and reconfiguration of the customer's system. The procedure to be used in awarding this contract is Simplified Acquistion Procedures No solicitations will be issued at this time. The anticipated award date is 20 December 1995.
