Barr, Contracting Officer, (314)260-1206, Fax Number (314)260-1221 Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings, for the repair of DMA St. Louis cathodic protection system. Work is to include the isolating of the gas line piping inside Building 25 from the underground portion coming in and a sacrificial anode added outside of the building. Adding a sacrificial anode and the below grade dielectric union jumpered to a small section of piping close to Building 18. The piping system at the geneator fuel tanks within Building 36 will be isolated from the rest of the piping and building grounds. The boiler room of building 40 are to be partially or fully replaced. The four underground fuel storage tanks and the associated piping to the boiler room are to have a new impressed current anode field, and a new above ground rectifier in a protective housing installed. Additional sacrificial anodes are to be installed for the 10 inch line connected to Test Station 20 located between Cooling Tower Number 6 and Building 36, Section B. Also the replacement of the vertical section of each riser of the fuel oil supply and return piping within the fuel oil pump vault serving Tank 1. The work shall be performed by a mechanical contractor who has work experience in cathodic protection systems. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable DMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 144 days. the approximate cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Award of this requirement is subject to the availability of funds.
