Dawson Contracting Officer (502) 798-7857 June Schiewe Contract Specialist (502) 798-7823 (Site Code DAKF23) LAND Application of anaerobically digested liquid sludge from Fort Campbell Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) by means of subsurface injection to land areas located on post. Application will be performed in early spring (March) and early fall (September). Performance period will be 30 days for each application. Contractor shall provide pump, field stand, applicator and truck for mobilization or demobilization. Fieldwork shall include applications of soil borings, rain gauge, tensiometer, trucks, etc., with managers and equipment operations. Lime shall be added to soil to adjust a minimum PH of 6.5 for sludge/soil mixture prior to second and subsequent land application event. Sludge distribution on the land application sites will be uniform through the permitted area. Work includes providing all resources and management necessary to load, transport and land apply through subsurface injection, approximately 900,000 gallons of liquid digested sludge per year.
