Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital, Columbia, MO. Work consists of the construction of a new 105,000 GSF, three story (basement, first and second floors) ambulatory care addition with approximately 85,000 net usable space consisting of primary and specialty clinics with administrative support functions. The building is a structural concrete frame on drilled pier foundations with concrete air tunnels (HVAC distribution) and a concrete utility tunnel, constructed below the basement concrete slab-on-grade. The exterior enclosure is to be a combination of brick veneer and limestone accent pannels installed over structural steel studs with both metal and EDPM roofs. The building also includes skylights and a connecting corridor to the existing hospital at the second floor level. The project also includes but is not limited to extensive sitework, landscaping and rerouting of existing site utilities. Sitework is to be phased and includes both new and rerouted utilities as well as concrete paving (driveways and sidewalks), concrete curbs and gutters, and asphalt paving. The general contractor will be responsible for asbestos abatement coordination. The construction price range is between $10,000,00 and $20,000,000. A refundable deposit of $250.00 is required for a complete set of documents (specifications and drawings).
