The Naval Command Control and Ocean Surveillance Center Research and Development, Test and Evaluation Division, San Diego intends to solicit proposals for Marine Mammal Training and Suppport Services. The scope of this effort is to provide personnel who have expertise in marine mammal care, training, observational, experimental and ecological research, technical support and facility, boat and dive services. The effort also requires for the caring of all foods, feeding of animals, administering of medication and vitamins, veterinary support, medical records maintenance, training using operant conditioning techniques, specialist in marine mammal research and behavior, technical and engineering support; and maintenance of marine mammal facilities, boats and support equipment. The Government anticipates a five year Time and Material type contract with 206,500 hours of effort per year. The solicitation is scheduled to be released mid March 1996.
