The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a provisioned item
order under the Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures (IDECM)
engineering and manufacturing development contract with Sanders, a
Lockheed Martin Company, to assess the extent to which the IDECM radio
frequency countermeasures subsystem components can be used as a
commodity across multiple U.S. Air Force platforms. The order will
address the commodity capability of the IDECM system on the F-15, F-16,
AC/MC-130 and U-2 aircraft. In addition, the order may expand the scope
of the tasks of the B-1 commodity analysis already in progress under
the contract. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. See
