(401)736-1763 Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation
and supervision to dredge mooring areas at U.S. Coast Guard Station
Jonesport, Maine. The work includes dredging approximately 1900 cubic
yards of material from mooring areas, and the installation of new
camels at U.S.Coast Guard Station Jonesport, ME. Dredged spoils shall
be disposed upland at the Jonesport Landfill. An optional bid item is
also included to dredge approximately 2300 cubic yards of material from
areas identified on the drawings as Phase 2 areas. This option will be
exercised during the initial phase of work at the discretion of the
Government. Permit approvals are pending; site work shall not begin
until all required permits have been received. The estimated cost of
construction is between $100K and $250K. Plans and specs issue on or
about 01/04/96. A $20.00 non-refundable check made payable to the U.S.
Coast Guard is required to obtain plans and specifications. Send to

Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short- term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation- related contracts.
Loans are availa/ble under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rate up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80
percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
