The Air Force Armstong Laboratory, Logistics Research Division (AL/HRG), requests technical and market information on current technolgies related to wearable computer systems. Technologies of interest include helmet or goggle mounted display systems, monocular display devices, biocular, binocular, transparent or occluded display devices, voice recognition and manipulation capabilities, wearable computer carrying systems, and wearable keypad or cursor control technolgy. Information submitted should include product descriptions, specifications, examples of previous or present uses, and commercial brochures. The objective of this request is to obtain information on current technologies in wearable computers to determine the applicability of different systems to present research projects. The Logistics Research Division investigates ways to make the work done by logistics personnel easier and more efficient. Budgetary and manpower constraints make research necessary to continue to discover ways to accomplish more tasks with fewer avialable resources. The requested information could have applications to systems already under development for this purpose. This information could also provide insight into areas of future Armstrong Laboratory research that would benefit Air Force personnel. Responses to this request should be received within 45 days from date of announcement.
