54 -- PURCHASE OF FIREPROOF STORAGE MODULES AND A MODULAR CONTROL ROOM SOL RFP-3589-POS-CSS. POC Brian L. Claytor, (314) 441-8086 Extension 3703. Qualified Sources Sought, SOL RFP 3589-POS-CSS. MK Ferguson Company (MK-F), is currently performing work under a Department of Energy Prime Contract at the Weldon Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) located in St. Charles, Missouri. Qualified sources are being sought for the supply of several types of process equipment to be used in the construction of a Chemical Stabilization/Solidification Plant (CSS). Interested qualified parties should have the ability to construct equipment in accordance with hard specifications and stringent quality control procedures. Following is a brief description of the general types of equipment anticipated to be required under these procurement actions: (22) STORAGE MODULES: Four to eight 2 hour fire rated storage containers for the storage of equipment lubricants, spare parts, etc. (SIC 3448) (23) CONTROL ROOM: The control room will be designed and tested for outdoor use. The base of the structure shall be all welded construction of ASTM A-36 structural steel members, sized and arranged for proper strength and durability, and shall be able to withstand the stress and loads which will result when lifting the completely fabricated and equipped assemblies. The base structural members shall not interfere with or obstruct the areas designated for routing of power, control or instrumentation wiring or cable. The building shall have adequate access for loading and unloading of a control panel approximately 7'H X 6'W X 3'D. (SIC 3448). It is anticipated that proposal packages will be divided into the numbered packages noted above. Only full proposals will be accepted for each numbered package. It is anticipated that award will be in the form of firm fixed price purchase orders. These procurement actions are set aside for small business, and suppliers should note in their letter of interest that they are a small business as it relates to the particular procurement package they are requesting.
