68040 VME Bsed Controller P/N MVME-162022a; Manufacturer Motorola (or
equal). Minimum 4 megabytes of Dynamic Random Access Memory, minimum
512 kilobytes of Statis Random Access Memory; input/output: Local Area
Network Ethernet transceiver on card front panel with Direct Memory
Access 32 bit local bus controller, two serial ports (EIA-232-D DCE or
DTE) with Port Controller, minimum 4 MVIP Industry Pack interfaces;
Processor: minimum 25 MegHertz 32 bit microprocessor with 8 kilobytes
of cache, minimum 1 Megabyte Flash Memory, minimum 4- 32 bit
programmable timers, minimum 8 kilobytes by 8 kilobytes Non-Volatile
Random Access Memory and Time of Day clock with battery backup;
Switches and Light Emitting Diodes: two pushbutton switches (abort and
reset) seven LEDs (fail, stat, run, scon, lan, fuse, and VME).
Physical Characteristics: VME based operating temperature minimum +10
to +45 degrees celsius, power requirements: +5 VDC, +12 VDC, and
-12VDC; dimensions: height 10.3 inches, depth 7.4 inches, maximum

minimum 64 kilobytes of Dual Port Random Access Memory, word size is 16
bits, ability to store commands, status responses, gap times, and time
tags in RAM; Communication: MIL-STD-1553 protocol; Interface to Bus:
transformer or direct coupling; Modes of Operation: Bus Controller,
Multiple Remote Terminal, and Bus Monitor, all MIL-STD-1553
communication between the emulated BC and RT's shall take place over
the MIL-STD-1553 bus; Multiple Remote Terminal Mode: Generates an
interrupt when addressed, and enables specific subaddresses/mode codes;
Bus Controller Mode: addresses a minimum 32 RT's simultaneously with a)
BC to RT(s) transfer, b) RT to BC transfer, c) RT to RT transfer, d)
Mode Command without data word, e) Mode Command with data word
(transmit), f) Mode Command with data word (receive). Capable of
enabling/disabling the following errors: Wrong ync, Bad Sync, Wrong
Parity, Wrong Bit Count, and Wrong Word Count; Bus Monitor Mode:
monitors a minimum 32 Remote Terminals, records messages on a) single
RT, b) any combination of RT's c) all RT's; Interrupt Handling:
