The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA intends to procure launch and operational maintenance services for the BQM-74E Aerial Target and Ballistic Aerial Target Systems (BATS). The Operation and Maintenance support services required include operations, maintenance and management support for approximately 150 BQM-74E and 25 BATS target launches per year. The Government plans to award a fixed-price contract for these services for a base contract period of one year, beginning approximately 1 Oct 96, with four one-year option periods. Services required include operation and maintenance of the target systems, portable tracking radars, command control systems and test equipment. The effort will include providing technical and engineering support services for pre launch, flight, and post launch operations on-site at Point Mugu and on deployed operational sites; maintenance of targets and support equipment, including installation, checkout, maintenance and repair of augmentation kits designed for peculiar configuration, and maintenance of tracking and control equipment; logistical support consisting of transportation, inventory and inspection of targets, material, equipment, and spares; and design and configuration management.
