Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform routine Drydock and Repair to the USCGC CUSHING (WPB-1321) AND USCGC CHINCOTEAGUE (WPB-1320). Items to be performed include but are not limited to the following: 1. Welding Repairs 2. Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts 3. Straighten Propeller Shaft 4. Repair Propeller Shaft 5. Renew Water Lubricated Propeller Shaft Bearings 6. Remove and Reinstall Propellers 7. Repair Propeller Root Erosion 8. Inspect and Repack MDE 8-inch Exhaust Flapper 9. Preserve the Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers 10. Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves 11. Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers 12. Hydroblast Sewage and Grey Water System Piping 13. Remove and Reinstall Rudders 14. Renew Rudder Bearings 15. Overhaul Stabilizing Fins 16. Renew Lower Fin Stock Bearing 17. Clean and inspect Diesel Fuel Tanks 18. Preserve Underwater Body 19. Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s) 20. Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tank(s) 21. Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tank(s) 23. Inspect and Maintain Cathodic Protection System 24. Renew Reference Electrode 25. Renew Cathodic Anode 26. Renew Capastic Fairing 27. Provide Temporary Messing 28. Provide Temporary Berthing 29. Ultrasonic Testing 30. Provide Temporary Logistics 31. Routine Drydocking. The USCGC CUSHING availability is scheduled for 03 June 1996 and USCGC Chincoteague availability is scheduled for 05 August 1996. The performance period for each vessel is forty-two (42) calendar days. There is no geographic restriction. There will e a non-refundable charge required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in the amount of $100.00 for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification reference drawings. The proposed contact listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and small businesses. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 01 March 1996. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
