A -- AMBIENT NITROGEN VAPORIZER SYSTEM SOL DAAH03-96-R-0009 DUE 031896 POC (RDPC) Mechelle Smith, Contract Specialist, AMSMI-RD-PC-GX, 205-876- 7599, Raymond Shores, Contracting Officer, 205-876-3432, Synopsis No. R018-96. To procure two ambient vaporizer systems for nitrogen to be used by the Dynamic Test Branch, Environmental Test Division, Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC), Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. A continuous nitrogen gas (GN2) flow rate of between 33,000 plus minus 3 percent to 180,000 plus minus 3 percent standard cubic feet per hour (SCFH) will be required at pressures of 30 psig to 200 psig with a liquid nitrogen (LN2) supply to the vaporized system of 30 psig. The vaporizer system shall meet these performance requirements with no applied heat energy other than ambient air. The ambient air conditions for which the vaporizer system shall be expected to perform to this specification are -6.7 degrees C (20 degrees F) to 40.6 degrees C (105 degrees F). The vaporizer system shall consist of three component sections: Two (2) ambient vaporizer units; one (1) each inlet and outlet manifolds; and one (1) cryogenic pump/motor system. An option to upgrade the system shall include increasing the GN2 flow rate from 180,000 plus minus 3 percent SCFH to 360,000 plus minus 3 percent SCFH and controling the GN2 temperature to 25 degrees C plus minus 10 degrees C (77 degrees F plus minus 18 degrees F). This shall be accomplished through the purchase of two (2) additional vaporizer units and an electric trim heater. Estimated delivery date is no later than 31 July 1996. Interested parties shall request the solicitation package in writing from Commander, U.S. Army Missile Command, ATTN: AMSMI-AC-MOD, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5280. (0038)
