Contractor shall use Type 356 Aluminum for castings on the following parts: P/N 132891252 (Base), 210 each; P/N 13481254 (Middle Unit), 210 each; and P/N 13481255 (Platform), 210 each -- F.O.B. Destination -- It is intended to award this contract to Ajax Alloy Foundry Inc., Baltimore, MD on a sole source basis. These specially cast parts are required to reto-fit existing equipment in order to bring this equipment up to state of the art in technologies. These parts were made by Ajax Alloy Foundry previously, and they are the only company that can supply these items to meet our delivery schedule of three (3) weeks after the award of the contract. Ajax Alloy Foundry has the mold from which the exact parts were cast and they are set up to supply our needs without delay.
