The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and equipment to: Basic Bid-Modify the existing building's mechanical controls (supply air, cooling, filtration, exhaust, fire protection controls, instrumentation, and alarms) and electrical in Rooms 110 and 144 of Building 350; construct one (1) Modular Class 100 Clean Room with laminar flow hood in Room 110; construct one (1) Modular Class 100 Clean Room with laminar flow hood and cooling unit in Room 144; and provide one (1) laser particle counter to be shared by both rooms at New Burnswick Laboratory, Argonne, IL 60439 in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Bidders will be requested to submit separate bids showing separate prices for alternate bids as follows: ALTERNATE A - Modify Room 144 and provide one (1) Modular Class 100 Clean Room with (1) laminar flow hood and cooling unit with one (1) laser particle counter. ALTERNATE B - Modify Room 110 and construct one (1) Modular Class 100 Clean Room with (1) laminar flow hood and provide one (1) laser particle counter. The period of performance is 150 calendar days. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. It is anticipated that a firm fixed-price price contract will result from this solicitation. Small Business Size Standard is $17 million average annual receipts over three years. IFB will be issued on or about March 5, 1996 with opening date of bids approximately 30 days thereafter and award on or about April 25, 1996.
