Baber, (501)321-5204, Additional Contact, Wanette Guthrie, (501)321-5206 Remove, transport, and unload the existing sluice gate stem, stem guide, and handwheel gate operator to the Mena Work Center, Mena, Arkansas; Furnish and install new hydraulic lift system, stem, stem guide(s), piping, and accessories; install two (2) chain link gates; modify and install trash racks (furnished by Government) to the existing inlet structure of dam. The lake will be drained to accommodate this work. The lake will be lowered beginning on or about 09/03/96. When the lake is empty the work may commence. Measurements necessary to confirm dimensions or otherwise needed to order material must be made with the lake full. Work must be completed within 45 calendar days from the date the lake is emptied. Project is located at the Shady Lake Recreation Area on the Mena Ranger District, Ouachita National Forest, Polk County, Arkansas. Estimated price range is $25,000 - $50,000. (0043)
