58 -- NEXRAD WEATHER RADAR COMPUTER AND RADAR COMPONENTS SOL 52-SPNA-6-00004 DUE 022996 POC James Higgins, Contracting Officer, 301/713-0046 NOAA is announcing its intent to issue a directed, sole-source procurement to RDL, INC. under statutory authority of 41 USC 253 (c)(1), only one responsible source, for the upgrade of NEXRAD Weather Radar spare components. This acquisition is reserved for small business where qualified small businesses make inquiry. Inquiries from potential bidders of services yielding part-number compliant hardware are welcome. Strict compliance to hardware form, fit and function is required. Potential bidders may be required to conduct functionality testing. Product specifications and drawings will not be available from the Government. The Services to be procured are as listed below: Upgrade RF Generator (less Oscillator) 1213634-201 to make RF Oscillator Module plug units interchangeable; Participate in one, with an option for a second, Technical Interchange Meeting with the Government.
