Contracting Office, (313)930-5580, Additional Contact, Contracting
Office, (313)930-5580 THIS MEDICAL CENTER INTENDS TO NEGOTIATE A
CONTRACT WITH INTRACELLULAR IMAGING INC, THE SYSTEM INCLUDES ALL
REQUIRED HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE, CONSISTING OOF FOLLOWING ITEMS:
HARDWARE: IMAGE PROCESSING COMPUTER : INTEL PENTIUM 90MHz
MICROPROCESSOR WITH A CORECO OCMX IMAGE ANALYSIS BOARD, 16 MB of RAM,
1 G byte hard disk with 256k cache, 1.44 MB 3.5'' Teac floppy drive,
quad speed CD-ROM, color graphic accelerator card, and 15'' SVGA
noninterlaced monitor. (ii) NIKON TMS microscope includes trinocular
head, phase optics, for epifluoresence illumination Microscope includes
trinocular head, phase optics, 10x phase contrast objective, and
mecanical stage with 60mm and petri dish holders. Also included is a
choice of 60x or 40x epifluorescence non-phase contrast objective.
(iii) 300 att compact Xenon are illuminator with self-contained power
supply. (iv) Computer controlled filter changer and shutter unit
containing 340nm and 380nm band bass filters for fura-2 fluorescence
and liquid light guide and adapter for interfacing to a Nikon Diaphot
microscope. (v) low light level, integrating CD monochrome video camera
with microscope interfacing relay lense. (vii) All necessary cables and
connectors, (ix) Full 90 day warranty on parts and labor. SOFTWARE: The
software integrates the hardware components into a single, turnkey
system and provides the following capabilities: (i) High resolution
(512 x 480) visualization and spatial analysis of intracellular
calcium. (ii) quantitative analysis of calcium in user defined,
non-geometric regions of interest. (iii) Options for calculation and
graphical analysis of calcium during the course of an experiment in
defined regions of interest. (iv) Easy creation of pseudocolor tables
for assignment of colors to gray level ranges. (v) Sequential playback
of images for animation of changes in intracellular calcium over time.
(vi) creation of annotated montages from selected images. (vii) Option
for single wavelength analysis using non-ratiometric dyes (e.g.
Fluo-3). OPTIONAL ITEMS: GROONY FLUORESCENCE OPTICS; These optics
substitute for the Makler fluoresence optics that are standard with the
system. Groony optics offer the advantage of a wider range of
objectives, especially with regard to phase optics and a greater degree
of freedom in turret movement for changing objectives. COMPUTER:
Substitution of 17'' Computer Monitor; Additional 16 MB RAM. FILTER
SETS (Specify desired dye or wavelengths) Dual wavelength set: 2
excitation filters in holder, and filter cube with emission filter and
dichroic mirror. Single wavelength set: but with only 1 excitation
filter. OBJECTIVES: 55x fluorite (oil), 100x fluorite (oil), 10x Nikon
Fluorphase, 20x Nikon Flurophase, 100x Nikon Flurophase (oil). COLOR
PRINTER: CANON BUBBLEJET BJ 4000 color printer. Incuding onsite
installation and training at no additional cost. GOVERNMENT REQUIRES A
30 TESTING PERIOD WITH WARRANTY TO COMMENCE THEREAFTER. ALL
RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A BID WHICH WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE
AGENCY. CONTRACT AWARD IS SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FY 1996 FUNDS.
