CZECH REPUBLIC: ANIMAL NUTRITION MATERIALS The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/NOTIF. 96.11. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: Czech Republic. If applicable, name of local government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2): 2. Agency responsible: Ministry of Agriculture. 3. Notified under Article 2.9.2. 4. Products covered (HS or CCCN where applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): Animal nutrition materials - HS 2309. 5. Title and number of pages of the notified document: Draft Executing Ordinance to the Animal Feed Act (34 pages) 6. Description of content: The Draft Ordinance sets: Conditions for the registration of the producers/importers of feeds or feed additives or premixes (in the following referred to as the feed products); requirements on biological testing of feed products; feed products permitted for the putting into the circulation, requirements on their composition, properties and suitability; labelling requirements; requirements on the sampling and testing methods. The following Articles of the Ordinance are being notified under the TBT Agreement: Section 3, 4 on registration by the Central Agricultural Checking and Testing Institute of the producers/importers of the feed products; Section 13 on the quality testing of the animal products (meat, eggs, etc.) from animals fed by the tested feed products; Section 17, 18 on requirements on the raw materials for feed production; Section 24-26 on requirements on premixes and carriers; Section 27-29 on complete feeds an on complementary feeds; Section 33-37 on labelling on feed products. 7. Objective and rationale: Animal feeding quality. 8. Relevant documents: (1) Announcement will appear in the Official Journal of the COSMT; (2) Executing Ordinance to the Animal Feed Act; (3) Collection of Laws. 9.
