The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, plans to issue a solicitation for the following project consisting of the construction of a pre-engineered metal building of approximately 26,000 square feet with metal siding and roofing, plus related drives and other site improvements at the Federal Prison Camp, 1100 Ursuline Drive, Bryan, Texas. The work includes concrete, masonry walls, structural steel, steel purlins and girts, metal siding and roofing panels, architectural woodwork, waterproofing, roof accessories, sheet metal, hollow metal doors and frames, hollow metal windows, hardware, glazing, interior finishes, and equipment (including plumbing, fire protection, heating-ventilating-air conditioning, electrical systems, lighting, and alarm-signal systems). The construction cost is estimated to be between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Solicitation 235-0038 will be available on or about March 12, 1996. All requests for the solicitation must be in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable fee in the amount of $150.00. This request and fee must be mailed to the following Architectural Firm: John S. Chase, F.A.I.A., Architects, Inc., 1204 Southmore Street, Houston, Texas 77004-5897. This fee covers the costs of reproducing the specifications and drawings. A Pre-Bid Conference is tentatively scheduled for March 27, 1996, at 1:00 p.m. in the Visiting Room at FPC Bryan, Texas.
