Data is to be supplied in accordance with DD Form 1423. Contractor must furnish all direct/indirect material, labor, tooling, equipment and facilities necessary to accomplish the repair, overhaul and/or modification of all items. By order of the Secretary of the Air Force, Air Force Policy Directive 20-2, Weapon System Cost Reduction, we are directed to establish a continuous improvement process to systematically identify high cost drivers. In an effort to reduce overhaul costs of diesel engines, request that respondents to this synopsis provide any cost savings ideas which could be included in the solicitation to reduce costs to the Air Force while providing a quality product.
