Specialist, OP-ESO-A, 407-867-7230. This synopsis is a correction of
the previous synopsis for this project. This correction significantly
alters the previous description of the project scope as follows. The
project scope consists of providing the labor, equipment and materials
to construct Modernize Firex Water System modifcations both outside
and within the Launch Pad Fences. Work Outside the Launch Pad Fences
consists of modernizing the existing Firex pumping station that
services both launch pads and theinstallation of new firex pipelines
from the pumping station to each pad. Work inside the pump station
includes demolition of two existing diesel driven fire pump assemblies
and installation of four new diesel driven 5,000 GPM pump assemblies.
Ancillary work includes hydro-pneumatic tank refurbishment, two new
jockey pumps, and associated piping and controls. All construction must
proceed such that two pumps are kept in service at all times and
service outages are minimized. Work Inside the Launch Pad Fences
consists of the installation of approximately 18 pneumatically actuated
valve stations and associated piping including control cabinets,
associated pneumatic tubing and installation of connecting electrical
cable. Inside Work also includes installation of a high pressure
compressed air system, hydro-pneumatic tank modifications, and
demolition work. The work to be Period of Performance is 730 days from
receipt of notice to proceed. The SIC Code is 1711. Funding for this
project is not currently authorized - award of a contract is contingent
upon receipt of authorized funding.. Construction Magnitude is
$1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for
small business concerns. All responsible small business sources may
