Specialist Diana Lewis (502) 582-5706 (Site Code DACA27) Work consists
of driving approximately 9,500 LF of various lengths of steel sheet
piling (PZ-27 or equivalent) along the upstream face of Dam No. 12;
placing KY #2 Stone & Concrete fill between the existing concrete dam
and the new sheet piling; removing deteriorated concrete on the surface
of the dam, repairing concrete monoliths, and placement of new concrete
within these areas; repair of the dam drawdown gate (as option B);
constructing a concrete bulkhead in the lock chamber (as option A) just
downstream of the upstream mitre gate; providing and placing
approximately 5,000 pound of derrick stone at the toe of Dam No. 12,
7,100 tons of 5,000 pound maximum weight derrick stone along the
downstream toe of Dam No. 13 (as option C), and 5,300 tons of 5,000
pound maximum weight derrick stone along the downstream toe of Dam No.
14 (as option D); some site preparation; and associated work. The
approximate lengths of Dam No. 12 is 240 feet; Dam No. 13, 248 feet;
and Dam No. 14, 248 feet. Estimated value - $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
