Maiers, (202)565-5455 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to enter into a contract with PeopleSoft Federal, Inc. on a sole source basis for software support services, expansion of current license agreement and the yearly maintenance on government owned PeopleSoft Federal, Inc. proprietary software products. The authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c1)(1), only one responsible soruce and no other supplies, services, or personnel will satisfy agency requirements. The software support services will include specific proprietary product engineering that maintains short-term and long-term product validity and will not jeopardize the product with respect to future release inter-operability/compatibility. Maintenance service will include product fixes, product updates including changes incorporating legislative, judicial, and executive mandates to the core Federal PeopleSoft product. Additionaly, maintenance services includes membership into PeopleSoft Forum (User Group) and telephone support service for problem resolution. Written responses must demonstrate the vendor's bonafide ability to perform and meet the requirements on the present system, entiling the current user to all new releases and free-up grades. No solicitation document exists therefore requests for such documents will be considered non-responsive and given no future consideration. Responses must be received in this office within 30 calendar days after initial publication of this notice. If no responses are received to indicate the maintenance and Support Services can be performed by an alternate source, a contract will be issued to PeopleSoft, Inc. See Numbered Note 22. (0065)
