Work includes, but is not limited to, providing generator backup power to twenty weapon storage igloos, removing and disposing of existing electrical distribution system feeding the igloos, and providing a new underground distribution system for the igloos. the value of the work is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000 dollars. An electrical vault will be the only Government furnished materials provided to the contractor. Work will be performed in a restricted area. The contract performance period shall be 100 calendar days, and the Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this project is 1731. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 22 March 1996. All interested parties that are bonded, insured, and capable of performing the required work are encouraged to inquire about this solicitation. This acquisition is being contemplated for a 10% Small Disadvantaged Business preference, however, this does not restrict other business concerns from bidding on this project.
