Frank Patris, General Services Officer (GSO), U.S. Embassy, Kinshasa, Zaire, will be the Contracting Officer. The U.S. Embassy Kinshasa will issue a solicitation (RFP) in June for the operation and management of guard services and related support for the U.S. Embassy. These services are necessary in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all U.S. assets, and prevent damage to Government property. Services will include vehicle mobile patrols and communications equipment. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Specific requirements for the proposal, as well as the evaluation criteria, shall be set forth in the solicitation. A copy of the solicitation will be available on the Department's SDBU Bulletin Board. Instructions for downloading the RFP will be provided to those contractors who fax written requests to (703) 875-6527. No telephone calls will be accepted. This will ensure that the Department has an adequate source list. If you do not have access to the Department's Bulletin Board, please submit your request for the solicitation by fax.
