16 -- PORTABLE ELECTRIC POWER PLANT SOL N65540 POC Eric Manna, Code 9525, (215) 897-1146. Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center is seeking expressions of interest from potential sources regarding a Navy qualified PD-25 engine driven, portable electric power plant. All costs related to approval tests shall be borne by the contractor. The power plant is required to provide AC and DC power for equipment servicing, maintaining, and starting purposes. It will supply regulated AC electric power up to 90 KVA at 0.8 power factor, 120/208 volts, 3 phase, 400 hertz. A portion of the generated AC power is rectified to supply 28 volts DC at 750 amperes continuously (100 amperes intermittently) for equipment starting purposes. The unit must be self contained and suitable for outdoor service. This is not a request for proposal and does not commit the government to the award of a contract. Any comments provided may/may not be included in a formal solicitation. The government will not pay for any information received in response to the RFI nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any costs incurred in developing the information provided to the Government.
