The Social Security Administration is attempting to identify vendors than can provide and maintain the Cincom Systems, Inc. proprietary software product M/PRINT MANAGER or equivalent functional product which will be installed on an IBM Model 3090-600J and an IBM Model 9021-900 mainframe system located at the National Computer Center, Baltimore, Maryland. The salient characteristics are as follows: 1) Product must interface directly with online and batch M/TEXT developed models to produce AFP, METACODE, HPPCL5 and Postscript data streams depending on the printer to which an individual pageor pages are being directed; 2) Product must provide capability to reprint pages at a later date to a different type of printer; 3) Product must be able to dynamically adjust graphic image boxes based on differing types and amounts of data; and 4) Product must provide the capability of dynamic overlay positioning. Firms having the capability to provide the required software andmaintenance service are invited to submit complete details. The responses must clearly state the ability to provide and maintain the required software product. Any interested organizations must respond to this notice within 30 calendar days from the date of this publication. Responses should refer to Synopsis Number 96-0990. No award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, the information will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited or received. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of source data received, but sources deemed qualified will be solicited when request for quotations are issued.
