70 -- REPLACEMENT SCSI DISK DRIVES POC Wayne E. Stahre, BOC-110, EG&G Florida, Inc. Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899 (407)867-7038. EG&G Florida Inc., the Base Operations Contractor at the Kennedy Space Center, intends to solicit proposals for replacement peripheral equipment for a Pass and Badge Information Management System based on a Modcomp Classic 32/85 computer. This peripheral equipment will consist of SCSI Disk Drives which will provide the functional capability and capacity of eleven existing disk drives. The drives are to be replaced with one or more SCSI drives providing, at least, two gigabytes of disk space with minimal future expansion capability of one gigabyte. Optional disk mirroring is desired. In addition, the capability to backup disk data to DAT tape is required. Ten of the existing drives are Modcomp model 4182A-11 (NEC 132 Megabyte Fixed Head,) and one is a CDC Sabre 776 Megabyte drive. Replacement drives shall be fully compatible with the host Modcomp Classic 32/87 processor. In addition, the drives must be fully compatible with the present Modcomp Operating System, Modcomp MAX IV, Revision I, a sixteen bit operating system, which cannot be upgraded or replaced.
