Survey Vessel Hatton. A steel monohull, 58' in length with a 17 1/2'
beam. All work is to be performed at the contractor's facilities. The
Corps will deliver the vessel to companies within a (50) fifty mile
radius of Caven Point Terminal, Jersey City, New Jersey. Other
companies outside the 50 mile radius must pickup the vessel. This
vessel is a harbour vessel and cannot be transported over the open sea.
The work consists of hauling the vessel out of the water, sand
blasting, cleaning and painting the entire exterior and portions of the
interior and performing various hull and mechanical repairs required by
the solicitation specifications. All work performed under the
specification shall conform to the best modern marine practice and to
all requirements of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Title 46
Code of Federal Regulations, Subchapter ''T'', ''Vessels'', as
administered by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and all pertinent
regualitions of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA). The contractor shall commence the work not later than one (1)
working day after delivery of the vessel into his/her custody and shall
complete the work not late than thirty (30) calendar days after the
commencement of work. This procurement is a small-business set-aside.
