The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division proposes to procure Shoulder-Launched Multi-Purpose Assault Weapon (SMAW) Practice Rockets, 83mm/1340-01-227-8871/HX07 for the U.S. Marine Corps. The SMAW Practice Rocket is an encased 83mm rocket which shall be compatible with the existing SMAW Launcher. The Practice Rockets shall be built to an existing technical data Package (TDP), which is available along with the solicitation. The solicitation is available upon request, however, a $1,000.00 deposit fee is required to receive the TDP. The deposit fee will be refundable upon return of the complete TDP, or upon contract award to your firm. The estimated solicitation issue date is 01 May 1996, with a closing date of 31 May 1996. Contract award shall be based upon a best value source selection, with available facilities, past performance, and demonstrated ability to meet required on schedule deliveries as major source selection factors. The solicitation will contain a base year requirement of no more than 5700 rounds, with three one-year options for the same estimated quantity.
