This is a market survey to locate additional sources capable of providing maintenance/technical support, software support and training services for the Army's Lightweight TACFIRE program. The LTACFIRE hardware and software was developed/manufactured by Litton Data Systems and has been supported by them since its inception. The system was developed using a proprietary operating system, firmware and a non standard processor. The Government does not possess technical data, software data rights or maintenance/diagnostic information supporting the system. Suppliers that believe they are capable of providing the required support must so indicate by writing to Commander, CECOM, Linda Johnston, AMSEL-LC-SM-S2, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703. All responsible sources may respond to this market survey by submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical literature, demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements identified above. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the current source or a statement from the current source demonstrating that the supplier can provide the maintenance/technical servies required to support the system. Successful suppliers may be required to warrant that the system will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. The deadline for response to this notice is 15 days subsequent to the date of publication of this notice.
