44 -- UPGRADE LECTROMELT FURNACE TRANSFORMERS SOL DAAA08-96-Q-0169 POC Contact Carol Baumgartner, (309) 782-8635, Contract Specialist The Rock Island Arsenal is seeking possible sources and proposals for the upgrades of two lectromelt electric ARC furnacetransformers. One is a 3 ton RT Model with a 1.5 mva and the othera 5 ton qt Model with a 2.5 mva transformer. Option a is the upgrading of existing equipment and option B is to add new, more efficient transformers for both furnaces. NOTE: NO Solicitation will be issued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with NO COST or obligation to be incurred by the Government. The Government will in NO way be obligated to purchase all or any part of the supplies described above. Any of the information stated above concerning the supplies is subject to change.
