Williams (703) 693-5017 The United States Community and Family Support Center has a requirement entitled ''Army Child Development Services (CDS) Management Personnel Mentoring Initiative''. The following tasks will be performed: The contractor will develop two training curriculum outlines with supporting handouts to be used by Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) staff in training CDS management personnel to become mentors. The first outline will be used to train peer mentors among CDS coordinators, program directors and training and curriculum specialists. The second outline will be used to train coordinators and directors in mentoring lower graded management staff. The contractor will develop two mentor handbooks for CDS management personnel to be used as resources in working with proteges. The first handbook will be used by peer mentors in working with their protege counterparts. The second handbook will be used by mentors in working with their subordinate proteges to encourage development of skills necessary to qualify for higher graded positions (e.g., CDS, Child Development Services Coordinator to Family Child Care Director).
