Z -- US POSTAL SERVICE IS ISSUING REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR WINDOW REPLACEMENT AT THE MORGAN P&DC, 341 9TH AVENUE, NEW YORK, NY 10199-9731 SOL #415046-96-A-0026. Due 053096. The work consists of providing all labor, material, equipment and services to remove and replace all exterior steel windows on the west side along with other related areas - estimated total openings = 150. Remove and dispose of all lead baring paint (most of it is classified hazardous). Recondition 10 gauge hollow metal secondary and structural elements and trim, prepare, prime and paint all exposed metal areas at openings. Provide and install new factory finished heavy intermediate rolled steel window units. All work will be performed in a 24 hours operational facility. Work shall be coordinated, scheduled and phased to minimize any operational impact. Temporary barriers to separate work area from on going USPS operations will be required. OFFEROR MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN WINDOW RESTORATION AND PRIMARILY ENGAGED IN THIS LINE FOR A MINIMUM OF FIVE (5) YEARS AND WHO, IN ADDITION, SHALL HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AT LEAST THREE (3) PROJECTS OF SIMILAR SIZE AND SCOPE. The estimated price range is between $2,000,000.00 and $2,300,000.00 with completion within 240 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
