Sailboats. Planning hull sailboat designed to be sailed by one person,
but capable of being sailed by either one or two persons. Unsinkable,
fiberglass, round bottomed hull with foam cored deck. Capable of self
rescue from a capsize, with a self bailing fittings, and hiking strap
installed in hull. Length overall 14' (+/-4''). Beam 4'6'' (+/1 2'').
Deck shall have non skid surface on appropriate spaces. Hull and deck
shall be colored white using polyester gel coat. Unstayed cat rig with
two piece aluminum mast. Aluminum boom with fittings. Complete running
and standing rigging to include boom vang, cunningham, traveler, main
sheet, and outhaul. Boat capable of being rigged and sailed without
shrouds, spreaders, forestay, or any halyards. Fiberglass, foam cored
daggerboard and kick-up rudder blade. Draft of less than one foot with
daggerboard up, and draft of less than 4 foot with daggerboard down.
Tiller and tiller extension of either aluminum or wood. Aluminum
kick-up rudder head. Singlehanded sailboat must be capable of being
raced, and must be recognized as an International Class by the
International Yacht Racing Union. Must comply with one design class
racing rules and come complete with racing equipment package, clam
cleats. Singlehanded sailboat must be delivered to the United States
Naval Academy complete and ready to rig and sail away directly from the
