Miller/Msg/Pka/ 513-257-3363 Item 0001 NSN 7045- - - Requirement is for 90,000 Recordable Compact Discs for the EDCARs sites at the Air Logistics sites. The CD-R's must be ISO 9660 and ''Orange Book'' Part II compatible, have a minimum of 650 MB of data capacity, 74 minute recording time at a recording speed compatible with a 2X through 6X speed writer, be manufactured from Polycarbonate with thickness of 1.2mm, (.047'') with an inside diameter (ID) of 15mm, (.590'') an outside diameter (OD) of 120mm, (4.72'') and have a gold reflective surface with a reflection ratio greater than 65%. The recording surface must have a protective coating which will provide protection from Ultra Violet light, fingerprints, scratches, humidity, and static electricity damage. The CD-R's printable surface must be capable of having person readable graphics applied by silk screen, thermal transfer, felt tip pens, rubber stamp, permanent ink and be free of any manufacturer's logo. The life of the CD-R must be greater than one (1) year using Write Once Read Many. ea. Destn: Destination ALCs. The approximate issue/response date will be 30 May 96. No telephone requests.
