W -- DESKTOP COMPUTER SYSTEM LEASE Contact Mr. Mark de Visser. Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies (LMIT), P.O. Box 1625, Idaho Falls, ID 83415-3521; a management and operating contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL) is exploring the possibilities of leasing desktop computer systems. The lease will include hardware and software licenses and maintenance components, as well as on site services and support for the life of the leasing period. This information will be based around a 3 year leasing agreement (not a lease to buy). The estimated pricing you provide for the INEL will be used for fiscal year 1997 budgeting in preparation for leasing opportunities. We estimate 1,200 - 1,500 systems per year through the three year leasing agreement for an estimated total of 4,500 desktop systems. Please provide pricing for the software, installation of software to hardware as identified in Section 2 under ``Hardware'', and a monthly maintenance cost associated with maintaining current version of software and support: Maintenance is defined as: Any changes made by the manufacturer to the version of software purchased, which will be distributed at no charge to the customer with maintenance.
