This procurement will increase the scope of Contract N00024-95-C-5406 with Hughes Missile Systems Company to include Parameter Analysis and Storage System (PASS) Enhancement for the MK-15 Phalanx CIWS. Hughes is the prime contractor for the design agent improvement efforts for the Phalanx CIWS and is the only firm with the requisite knowledge to complete the PASS Enhancement effort. Therefore, the Navy intends to solicit this requirment on a sole source basis to Hughes Missile Systems Company in Tucson, AZ. See Numbered Note(s): 22. (0130)
