This unrestricted procurement will be negotiated under competitive procedures. Annual estimated quantities for wheelchairs capable of sustaining a patient load weight up to 250 lbs., are 9,000 each; and wheelchairs for patient load weights up to 350 lbs. are 1,500 each. A fixed-price requirements contract is anticipated for the period August 1, 1996, or date of award, whichever is later, through July 31, 1997, with an additional one-year option. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination to all VA medical centers in the 50 States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. The soliciation will be issued on or about 15 days after publication of this notice with an opening date 30 days later.
