Brown or Contract Specialist Sheryl Calderon (817)287-4830 (Site Code DAKF48) Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials (other than those provided by the Government) to perform Aircraft Arresting System Maintenance and Repair Services at Robert Gray Army Airfield, Fort Hood, Texas, for a base period of approximately one year, and four (4) one-year option periods (if exercised by the Government). The anticipated base performance period is 1 October 1996 through 30 September 1997. This solicitation requires a minimum of 2 qualified personnel, certified to work on the BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting System by formal training at the Sheppard Air Force Base Barrier School, to perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance and all repairs on the system. These personnel shall have a minimum of 2 years experience in the operation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the BAK-12 system. All responsible bidders requesting this solicitation will be provided solicitation packages, however, if a sufficient number of requests for the package are received from Small Businesses within 15 days from the date of publication of this announcement, this solicitation will be 100% set-aside for Small Business. Otherwise, this acquisition will be issued as unrestricted, and all bids received from all bidders will be considered. The SIC code for this procurement is 7699 with a Small Business Size standard of $5 million. All prospective bidders are requested to indicate their size status along with their request for the solicitation package.
