(NRL) is conducting research programs in hypervelocity impact physics.
The studies are an integral part of a large national program involving
many research groups and other test facilities. Current NRL programs
include studies of high explosive initiation, target damage enhancement
due to multiple impact, and a variety of studies relatable to
projectile properties such as impact shatter, vaporization, and
chemical reactivity. NRL requirements include: development of test
plans, design and fabricate targets and fixtures, prepare the test
facility and perform impact experiments, evaluate and report experiment
results, etc. The period of performance for the Base effort is 12
months with four(4) 12 month options. Request for information to this
