The U.S. Department Of Energy is planning to fund a geothermal heat
pump (GHP) technology transfer project and is soliciting interest and
capabilities. One of the goals of the DOE Geothermal Program is to
promote the use of geothermal heat pumps. One of the major targets for
using and promoting the use of geothermal heat pumps is the utility
industry. In order to demonstrate the potential benefits of a GHP
program to a utility, the DOE is willing to provide technical
assistance. This announcement is not a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The
written quotations will be available June 6, 1996. All requests for
copies of the RFQ must be submitted in writing (facsimile preferred) to
Wendy L. Huggins, Contract Specialist, fax number (208) 526-5548. The
anticipated award date is July 11, 1996. This is a simplified
acquisition and the DOE's, Idaho Operations Office, threshold is
$50,000. This is a 100 percent Small Business Set-aside procurement in
which all responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely
