The Food and Consumer Service (FCS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks qualified offerors to develop and validate a dietary assessment methodology for use with children 3-5 years of age. The work shall be conducted under a cost sharing contract. The federal government's contribution to this effort will be $100,000, with the proviso that offerors aslo make a significant contribution (e.g., staff time, facilities). Offerors must provide the nature and level of their contribution to the study in their proposals. This contract is designated as a free and open competitive procurement. FCS estimates that the work will require 18 months to complete. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be released on or about June 10, 1996 and offers will be due on or about July 10, 1996. All qualified organizations interested in receiving a copy of the RFP when it is issued MUST submit their request in writing and MUST include four (4) self-addressed mailing lables.
