(601) 689-8369 Requirement is a shipboard installed, shallow water
multibeam system (1 each), with operating frequency 75kHz to 150kHz,
minimum operating depth of 3 meters below transducer array, maximum
operating depth of 1000 meters, swath width sector cover of 150 degrees
to 200m, 120 degrees from 200m to 600m, and 60 degrees from 600m to
1000m directly below vessel, depth accuracy of 0.3% of water depth or
15 cm, range resolution of 30 cm maximum, depth resolution of 2 cm
maximum, minimum of 48 beams per ping, analog, physical, and digital
beam forming, and bottom detector of both amplitude and phase detection
for all beams at survey speed up to 14 knots and ship roll and pitch
angles up to plus or minus 15 degress and plus or minus 15 degrees with
all beams meeting the accuracy requirements over bottom types ranging
from hard sand and rock to soft mud. System shall include, but not be
limited to the following units/components: transducer unit, transceiver
unit, operator unit, bottom detector unit, quality assurance unit,
sonar imaging unit, plotter/color printer, data logging system, post
processing system, real time contouring system, data storage, sea
surface temperature unit, sound velocity profile sensor, POS/MV unit,
and vertical reference unit. Also to be provided with the system is
spare parts kit, module level, for six (6) months operations, operation
and maintenance training, installation, docside, and sea trial
technical support, technical data, to include commercial operation and
maintenance manuals, and installation, factory and at-sea testing
procedures, and options for additional on-board spare parts kit, and
software update/maintenance support through 2001. Government
specifications will be provided with the solicitation. The
solicitation, N62306-96-R-0006, to be processed under FAR Part 12 for
commercial products, is to be issued o/a 14 June 1996, with a closing
date to be 30 days after issuance. Delivery will be required within 120
to 150 days after date of contract and is to be made to the Naval
Oceanographic, Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Written requests for
