Acquisition will be by a sealed bidding procurement method. Features of the work include: (1) Embankment system, including: replacement of main and right embankment portions of dam; excavating existing embankment and outwash and glacial till foundation materials and replacing with zoned earthfill, geotextile, geomembrane liner, cover and riprap; constructing blanket drain, geomembrane drain, and downstream toe drain for both embankments; and installing measurement weirs, embankment measurement points, structure measurement points, and vibrating wire piezometers. (2) Outlet works, including: removing existing gate house and gate shaft and salvaging equipment; removing outlet works, outlet portal and portions of the goose neck, conduit, and canal lining; constructing upstream gate house; installing slide gates and hoists; installing prefabricated steel footbridge; replacing removed portions of conduit; installing steel outlet pipe and steel bypass pipe inside conduit; and constructing outlet works stilling basin and canal transition. (3) Spillway, including: removing and replacing spillway, complete with underdrain system, hinged crest gates, and hoist operators; replacing spillway bridge with precast, prestressed concrete bridge; and installing complete electrical system. (4) Wetlands mitigation, including: protecting and maintaining downstream wetlands, and installing piping, valves, and structures for wetlands water distribution system. (0151)
