16 -- NAVY COMBAT EDGE, CRU-103/P OXYGEN DEMAND REGULATORS SOL N00019-96-R-0049 DUE 070596 POC Contact, Judy Henry, Phone (703)604-2119 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to solicit proposals for the production of a quantity of approximately 2200 CRU-103/P Oxygen Demand Regulators. These regulators are intended for use in conjunction with various ''G'' protective components as part of the Navy's Combat Edge Ensemble that is being introduced to the entire F/A-18 community. The CRU-103/P Regulator is a chest-mounted, positive pressure, G-modulated regulator that provides both positive pressure for altitude (PBA) and positive pressure for ''G'' (PBG) pressure demand oxygen flow to the aircrew member. Technical requirements for the regulators will be performance based. A complete level III drawing package will be provided to enable the delivered regulators to meet an interchangeability requirement. A quantity of four (4) 'bid sample' regulators must be submitted in conjunction with technical proposals.
