BARIATTI (202) 782-1280 (Site Code DADA15) The Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to procure by negotiation, a 3-D Gait Laboratory System which will evaluate the mechanics of the body during various activities assessing body motions and the dynamic electromyographic responses (EMG) from the muscles. The body motions will be evaluated utilizing a 6-camera system that records the positions of the body segments (e.g., arm, leg, truck, etc.) .and markers with reflective markings as they move through space and time. The cameras are used to obtain 3 dimensional information. A force plate records the ground reactive forces to study walking, jumping & running activity. The system will as a minimum consist of 6 computer controlled analog cameras operating at both 60 & 120 Hz and capture marker information direct to disk; a mult-tasking pentium based computer system; min 12'' Hi-res Video Monitor w/speaker; Hi-Res Video Processing w/ethernet; 64 channel analog data acquisition system w/64-channel, 12-bit resolution; Acquisition & Display Software; Biomechanics Research Software Pkg; System must be compatible with existing Government-owned 12-channel Noraxon Myosystem 2000 Dynamic Electromyographic; Must also be capable of sharing kinematic information with laboratories at the A.J. duPont Childrens Institute and VA facilities in West Los Angeles, Long Beach, Palo Alto and Martines, CA and Milwaukee, WI; Contractor will be responsible for all necessary renovation to the planned site to include as a minimum all necessary electrical, plumbing, flooring, ceiling, lighting and wall coverings to accommodate the installed system; Contractor will furnish necessary on-site familiarization training anticipated to be 3 to 5 days in length.
